Friday, June 11, 2010 – Sunday, June 13, 2010: 4th Annual Rainier Independent Film Festival Ashford and Mineral Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the Ashford Valley provides the perfect setting for this festival. Our screening venues range from an authentic circular Yurt, an elementary school built in the 1920's with capacity of 400, to an intimate setting in the prestigious Nisqually Lodge. In addition to the screenings of animated, narrative, documentary and feature films, workshops, intimate gatherings, panels, and an awards ceremony are scheduled for this compelling festival.
Sunday, June 13, 2010: Paradise Inn Sunday Brunch 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Chef Sheila Howard prepares cuisine that rivals the inn's striking views of Mt. Rainier and the Tatoosh Range. The Sunday Brunch includes a carving station, smoked salmon, seasonal fresh fruits, delectable desserts, and other traditional brunch favorites.

Saturday, July 31, 2010: White River 50 Crystal Mountain Like “The Mountain” itself, the race stands as an ultimate test of mental character and physical endurance. Over the 50-mile distance the race course rises and falls a staggering 8,700 feet (total elevation change: 17,400 feet). The race features rolling terrain, ridge tops, northwest forest, several sections of technical trails and several demanding climbs and challenging descents. Race numbers are limited to 400 athletes. As an extra testament to supreme performance, at least $6,500 in prize money is offered.
Saturday, September 11, 2010: Rainier Mountain Festival Ashford Shop the post monsoon sale, meet world class climbers, watch mountain technique demonstrations, compete in alpine games, eat BBQ and listen to music. There are games for kids, book signings by famous authors and slideshows by mountaineering legends and much more.
Friday, October 1, 2010 – Saturday, October 2, 2010: Rainier Arts Festival Ashford This art and music festival, now in its fourth year, showcases a variety of artisans whose work is inspired by Mt. Rainier. There will be live music, food and refreshments, demonstrations, workshops, a raffle and a live art auction. Presented in the clear, mountain atmosphere it is a retreat form the city and a celebration of fall color.
