Mountain Climbing

Mountain ClimbingMount Rainier is 14,410 feet tall and is traversed by thousands each year. It took over half a century before the first documented ascent of the summit was reached in 1890. Since then this vertical terrain has become the training grounds for many a mountain expedition.

Even for the experienced mountaineer, Mt. Rainier hold numerous challenges as weather, snow and route conditions can change in a moments notice. To be safe always obtain a current weather forecast, proper mountain climbing equipment and an experienced guide.

The exhilaration of the climb is well worth the adventure but be prepared to turn back should conditions worsen. The mountain will still be there for another attempt.
