 The center for snow play is Paradise which offers classic cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Cross-country skiing at Mt. Rainier is a wonderful way to capture the sheer beauty of this mountain park. The blanket of snow that covers the ground insolates the animals and insects underneath and while they sleep the only sound heard is the sloshing of your skis as you transverse the hills, just you and the beauty that is Mt. Rainier National Park.
